Obsessed with your goals and vision!

I want to talk to you about how the enemy is after our consistency.

What do I mean by consistency? I mean our ability to stay on track with our goals, even when things get tough.

The enemy knows that if he can get us to be inconsistent, he can derail our progress and keep us from achieving our goals.

In the context of this article and the use of the term ‘enemy,’ it refers to the spiritual adversary or the devil, as described in Christian beliefs. The ‘enemy’ is commonly understood to be Satan, who is seen as a malevolent being working against the purposes of God and seeking to lead people away from righteousness and their goals.

Throughout the Bible, various passages refer to Satan as the “adversary,” “the devil,” or “the enemy.” He is depicted as a deceiver and tempter, seeking to disrupt the lives of individuals and draw them away from God’s path. The ‘enemy’ represents the embodiment of evil and opposes the spiritual growth and success of believers.

For non-Christian’s the term ‘enemy’ can be used metaphorically to illustrate how negative forces or influences, whether internal or external, can undermine consistency and derail individuals from staying on track with their goals. It emphasizes the importance of recognizing and overcoming these challenges in order to achieve personal growth and success.

So, how does he do this?

Well, he uses a number of strategies.

One strategy is to tempt us with distractions. He’ll try to get us to focus on things that are less important than our goals or vision, hoping we’ll lose sight of what we’re really trying to achieve.

Another strategy he uses is to discourage us. He’ll try to make us feel like we’re not good enough, or that we’ll never be able to achieve our goals.

And finally, he’ll try to wear us down. He’ll make it seem like there’s too much work to do, or that it’s not worth it.

But here’s the thing: the enemy is a liar.

He’s trying to deceive us and keep us from achieving our goals.

But we don’t have to listen to him.

We can choose to be consistent, even in the face of challenges.

Here are a few tips to help stay consistent:

  • Set realistic goals. Don’t try to do too much too soon. Start with small, achievable goals, and then gradually increase the difficulty as you get more consistent.
  • Break down your goals into smaller steps. This will make them seem less daunting and more manageable.
  • Track your progress. This will help you stay motivated and see how far you’ve come. Here is a free downloadable tool I created to help track your goals.
  • Reward yourself for your accomplishments. This will help you stay on track and celebrate your successes.

And most importantly, don’t give up. The enemy will try to discourage you, but don’t let him win. Keep going, even when it’s tough.

Remember, small, incremental actions over time will lead to consistent progress in the direction of your goals!

I believe in you. We can do this.
