In my latest post, I shared that one of my goals for 2020 is to publish my first book How To Build A Level Up Mindset: Cheat Codes for Success, Health, and Happiness. The reason I am so excited to attain this goal is I believe this journal can be of service to you just as it has and continues to serve me.
Why do I believe this is so powerful and can serve you?
Whether you are a business professional looking to reach higher performance levels or an athlete looking to progress in your sport or youโre stuck and looking for personal growth. I believe How To Build A Level Up Mindset can help you access the mindset that will allow you to perform at peak state.
This is a scientific program based on real-life experiences, as well as curated philosophical and spiritual studies. How To Build A Level Up Mindset can help you train your subconscious mind to unlock your full potential and accelerate your life and career.
Our brains have a region called the Reticular Activation System (or RAS). ๏ปฟThe RAS acts like a gatekeeper or filter of sorts that decides which thoughts to focus on at any given time.
Since the RAS is processing about 8-million+ bits of information (subconsciously) through our brain every second, this filter system is critical.
The RAS decides which messages will arrive at the brain. Once a message gets passed the RAS filter and enters the cerebrum, which then turns into conscious thoughts, emotions or both.
It’s critical to your future that you learn how to get messages past the gatekeeper. So what causes or determines what messages get through the RAS?
Itโs actually simple. Whatever is important to you at the time and whatever you are currently focusing on gets through. Itโs all about what you focus on. If you’re focus is to buy a house by the water, your RAS will automatically work in the background and filter in thoughts that will help you get the house by the water.
This includes putting people in your life who might help you, opportunities to make it happen or resources that you might need. I canโt tell you how many amazing people have come into my life over the last 2 years since I have started this journey using these techniques.
This means the more you keep your goals “top of mind” the more your subconscious mind will work to reach them. That’s why writing your goals down every day, visualizing your intended outcome, and regularly repeating affirmations is so important!
Doing those things truly does help you to focus your subconscious mind on what’s important to you. Visualization taps into the creative powers of the subconscious mind. It gets the subconscious mind working 24/7 on helping you reach your goals.
Unless you visualize, you miss out on resources that are available to help you out. By the way, 92% of all of your thoughts are subconscious thoughts.
So if you want to be successful, happy, healthy, etc., you need to learn how to get your subconscious mind to work for you. Visualization focuses your subconscious mind to look for those resources.
Once you learn how to get your subconscious mind working for you, your life will start changing dramatically. Make sure to the book by your bed as you’ll find yourself waking up in the morning filled with great ideas that will help you reach your goals.
You’ll start meeting people who can help you realize your dreams. One of the โI AM…โ statements I write down daily is โI AM magneticโ โฆ as you will see over time you will soon be like a magnet attracting favorable conditions.
Did you know that you can actually physically change your brain cells to help you realize your dreams?
As mentioned in the book Think and Grow Rich,
โAll thoughts which have been emotionalized (given feeling) and mixed with faith, begin immediately to translate themselves into their physical equivalent or counterpart.โ
Napoleon Hill
Whenever you repeat an affirmation or visualize something using a lot of โfeelingโ and emotion, new neural pathways are formed. Intense emotional experiences actually stimulate the growth of additional spiny protuberances on the dendrites of brain neurons, which result in more neural connections and stronger memory and retention of that thought.
That’s why people can remember what they were doing on September 11th or when the US Olympic Hockey Team beat Russia in the 1980 Olympics. Itโs because those events were so emotionally charged, new mental pathways were created.
You want to create strong mental pathways that will help you to realize your dreams. What you think about and act upon comes about. Focus is the key. If you focus on one goal and don’t quit, you have a 95 percent chance of achieving it.
Would you like to believe more in yourself? Beliefs are developed in the subconscious mind. If you don’t believe you can be successful, you need to change those beliefs by reprogramming your subconscious mind.
The newest research shows that repeating the same statements over and over with passion and emotion forms new neural pathways that can eventually fire as “Belief,” and when fired, this belief triggers you to take actions that will help you reach your dreams. I can speak first hand, the writing practice of repeating my goals, tasks, habits and affirmations every day has turned me into a goal crushing machine!
This is also why self-talk and who you associate with are crucial to your success. What you say to yourself and whoโs in your inner circle will determine what kind of neural pathways you are developing.
What kind of neural pathways are you making? Will it lead to success? It’s all in your hands!
